Pani Salvam, Representative, Singapore and South Asia

Mr. Pani Salvam is a CPA based in Singapore. He has an MBA and an LL.B. (Hons.). He is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and a Graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK).

Pani has worked in Industry for more than 45 years in various capacities in the fields of accounting and finance in local as well as multinational companies, in sectors ranging from ship and shipyard management, newspaper publishing, courier services and petroleum exploration. He has led the internal audit, legal and quality control departments in NTUC Income, the largest insurance cooperative in Singapore. He was also a financial controller for a leading global courier company at the international airport hub of Singapore and a legal accountant for Sedco Forex, a multinational oil rig company. Among his other professional stints, he has participated in the acquisition proceedings for a printing company and has carried out business valuations for small and medium-sized companies in Singapore. He has also undertaken the implementation of activity-based cost models and planning and implementation strategies for a significant reduction of the DOS (Days Outstanding Sales) for a major multinational courier company with worldwide operations. In addition, Pani has performed petroleum concession expenditure audits for various countries in South East Asia and has led a financial team for a consortium of 40 US petroleum companies carrying out geological and geophysical surveys for petroleum exploration in China.

Pani is ECOFIN’s representative in Singapore and South Asia.
