Deepika is an Associate Professor at St. Joseph's Institute of Management (SJIM) and was Assistant Director of Research and Assistant Professor at St. Josephs College of Commerce, Bengaluru, India.

Deepika has developed case studies on supply chain management approaches and marketing strategies of leading Indian companies. She had validated the competency framework developed for auto-component manufacturers; established the supply chain performance indicators; research work published in IJPE. She had explored creative and innovation capability of a seating-system manufacturer; case study on design thinking capability presented at INFORMS Meeting and summarized process thinking strategies of a lighting-system manufacturer through case research technique; results published in SOM conference proceedings. She also critiqued the industrial competitiveness of Indian auto-component industry and environmental issues arising due to economic growth; reviewed work published in Journal of Competitiveness and Indian Economic Journal. Deepika is also a Volunteer in Executive Resource Mobilization at HelpAge India for nearly two decades and mobilized financial and human resource from corporates. At HelpAge India, she coordinated with members involved in several health care projects designed for elderly. She is also a member of European Operations Management Association (EurOMA). Deepika is recipient of Young Woman Educator & Scholar Award from National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development in 2019.

At ECOFIN, Deepika is Consultant-Supply Chain Management. She is currently based at Bengaluru, India.
